I’m new to yoga, is that ok?
Absolutely! We welcome all levels of yoga from first-timers to experienced yogis. If you are brand new to yoga, we recommend starting with our Yoga Basics classes, which cover the fundamentals of the poses, their alignment as well as covering the breath and some meditation. Yin classes, with long, restorative holds, are also open to all levels.
I’m pregnant, can I attend class?
If it’s your first time coming along to a yoga class, please feel free to come along to a Yoga Basics class. Be sure to tell your teacher that you’re pregnant so they can offer you appropriate poses and let you know which ones to skip. If you’ve practised yoga before, come along to any class but again, make sure you let the teacher know.
I have an injury or medical condition, can I attend class?
If you have an injury or medical condition, it is always best to talk with your treating health practitioner about whether yoga is suitable for you. Please let your teacher know about any injuries before class. Be sure to listen to your body and respect its boundaries. If you have a cold or a flu, it’s probably better to rest at home until it has cleared.
What do I need to bring to class?
We supply mats and all the props you need for your yoga class. Expect to get a little warm, so please bring a small towel. You may wish to bring a water bottle or feel free to help yourself to water and some delicious tea at the studio.
What should I wear?
You may wear whatever clothing you feel comfortable in and that doesn’t restrict your movement (whether it’s specialized yoga leggings, shorts and a t-shirt from the mid-90s or whatever you’ve managed to throw on from your floor to make it to a 6am class).
Can I suspend my pass?
You can suspend an unlimited 3, 6 or 12 months pass as well as a direct debit payment at any time, but we do need an email to let us know at least a week in advance so we can arrange it for you. If you’re emailing for a suspension please include start and end dates. Your pass will automatically renew after your stated end date. Please refer to our terms and conditions for details.
We lock the doors at the appointed start time of the class. This is to ensure that classes are not interrupted and belongings are safe at all times. Please give yourself time for parking and delays so that you can arrive before the start of the class and are not disappointed.
