Styles of yoga at The Yoga Space
Flow
A dynamic yoga practice that synchronises breath and movement through intelligent sequencing of postures, pranayama (breath work) and meditation. Flow classes offer diverse and varied sequences that work to build internal heat, awareness, strength and flexibility while focusing on the breath. Flow classes are most suited to those with some yoga experience.
Slow flow
Slow Flow classes involve a slower flowing vinyasa sequence where poses are held for longer, allowing you time to focus on your postural alignment and your breathing. The slower pace allows students time to develop greater awareness and inner calm while still being strong and physically dynamic. Suitable for beginners and all levels.
Yin and Meditation
Yin is a deeply restorative and meditative practice that focuses on deep relaxation and inner awareness. Floor postures are held for longer periods to target the connective tissues of the body – the tendons, fascia and ligaments – with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Suitable for all levels.
Stretch + Release
Designed to relieve muscle tension and complement other sports like running and riding, this class uses balls, props and stretching poses to open up your body and create a little space. This full body stretch will leave you feeling more relaxed and free to move.
Stretch + Release is designed to support your yoga practice, to prevent injuries and offer cross training options for anyone wanting to feel more supple and strong.
Perfect for beginners and those with more experience. All props provided.
